Beyond our expectations. Way beyond. This was a remodel of part of our home. We'd done window and floor upgrades, little things. This was our first major project. We saw the DLC signs all over our neighborhood, so at first glance, they were doing something right. When we called, they came out on time, told us what they could do, and gave us an estimate that was a little higher than another, but in retrospect, it was totally worth it.
We loved the result, but more importantly, we survived the process with their help. The subcontractors were perfectionists, very competent, and were clean, on time, and respectful of our home and us. Tearing down a home and building a custom one from scratch can be very overwhelming. It is difficult to understand the process and dependencies for all the different components from permits, design, trades, and inspections.
DLC fully laid out the process and walked hand in hand with us through the entire process from design to post construction support. Problem resolution was a highlight in our experience. Anytime there was any kind of roadblock or issue, Patrick would immediately work with us to come to a fair, timely, and transparent resolution. What we found unexpected was DLC was not your typical builder focused solely on the structural build but had an invested interest in quality and aesthetics of what will be our forever home. Patrick would often slow the process down to ensure the intricate details of design functions were thought through. They paid great attention and detail to our lifestyle and together we completed a home with everything we hoped for, on time and within our budget.

From our first meeting with DLC, no question was too insignificant, no idea was too small, and no concern was brushed aside. Prior to meeting with the architect, and throughout the design process, DLC was able to provide feedback from a build perspective. This gave us a much better idea of cost and considerations before finalizing the design.
There was not a design element that we could think of that DLC couldn’t build. They are not just a builder, but a creative that welcomed any challenge we threw their way.
Because DLC only contracts with quality partners, we knew the work would be done timely and with quality.
Re-modeling or building a new home will be a taxing exercise for any family. We feel extremely fortunate that we had DLC. They were our safety blanket throughout the process and delivered on everything we asked for.
